Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Ring Lora (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use ringlora.com, book a demo, or call a restaurant that uses Lora. It is written for the UK and follows the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Ring Lora is operated by [To be supplied: registered company name], company number [To be supplied: company number], registered at [To be supplied: registered address].

For information about restaurant customers’ calls and orders, the restaurant is usually the data controller and we act as its processor. For our website, demo bookings and business contacts, [To be supplied: data controller name] is the data controller.

Questions: hello@ringlora.com.

Information we collect

  • Contact and booking details: your name, restaurant name, email address and phone number when you book a demo or contact us.
  • Telephone call data: the caller’s phone number (where caller ID is available), call time and duration, and call recordings or transcripts where the restaurant has enabled them.
  • Order information: items ordered, collection or delivery details, delivery address, order notes and previous orders used to recognise returning callers.
  • Website data: basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, collected through essential cookies.

How we use it

  • To take and pass orders to the restaurant’s kitchen or ordering system.
  • To recognise returning callers and offer previous orders, where the restaurant has enabled this.
  • To send payment links, where the restaurant has set this up.
  • To arrange and run demos, and reply to enquiries.
  • To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve how Lora handles calls.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, and consent where required.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Ring Lora, including telephone and call-handling services, cloud hosting, payment-link providers chosen by the restaurant, and Cal.com for demo bookings. They only process information on our instructions. [To be supplied: list of key providers and where data is stored]

Where information is transferred outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements.

How long we keep it

We keep call and order records for [To be supplied: retention period] unless the restaurant asks for a different period, and demo and enquiry details for up to [To be supplied: retention period] after our last contact. We then delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit and reputable hosting providers to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we will tell affected people and the ICO about serious incidents where the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how it is used, or ask for a copy in a portable format. If a restaurant is the controller of your order information, we will pass your request to them. Email hello@ringlora.com.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
